Google has announced that from March 1, 2021, they will allow the use of game applications at the Google Play store in 15 countries, including the US market. This update includes gambling for real money and applications for daily fantasy sports, such as online casinos, lotteries and sports rates. Developers will also be able to post advertising in the Play Store.
Just a few years ago, Google opened a Play Store for online gambling operators in Great Britain, Ireland, France and Brazil. Since March, operators from the following countries will be allowed to publish their gaming applications in Google: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden and USA.
Online rates on sports and games are growing rapidly in the United States, and operators will benefit from distributing their Android applications using Google. Without a doubt, this is great news for them.
So far, customers could upload applications for online android gambling directly from the operator’s website, but they also needed to update them manually bypassing the phone security settings. It has also been difficult to promote these applications and include relevant demographic groups. Now Google will help solve this problem, and the operators will have a chance to more effectively cover a wider audience.
We will remind, earlier we reported that Google began to demand from all of its advertisers to confirm their identity and countries of origin to be able to show their ads.
